Today I’m sharing my Orient themed mani.
This is my first *themed* mani. I have a FB friend
in Hong Kong right now so I drew my inspiration from that.
I’m not very good at freehand art so it
didn’t turn out as well as I hoped but I still love it. I’m more of an
impressionist than a realist when it comes to my nail art.
What I used:
PURE ICE: “FREE SPIRIT”
CHINA GLAZE: “LIQUID LEATHER”
WET-N-WILD: “WET CEMENT”
PURE ICE: “BARE IT ALL”
PURE ICE: “PLATINUM”
RIMMEL: “STAN TO ATTENTION”
PURE ICE: “HOT TAMALE”
PURE ICE: “TWINKLE”
PURE ICE: “WATCH ME GO”
WATER BASED ACRYLIC PAINTS
INM: “OUT THE DOOR”
Let's start with my pinky shall we?
My pinky got a base of “STAN TO
ATTENTION”. Used striping tape at the tip then covered the whole nail
with “LIQUID LEATHER” then removed the striping tape right away.
Lastly I placed a red square gem at the cuticle.
On my ring finger I used my
acrylic paint pots and a dotting tool to apply the bamboo stalks, and a
toothpick to draw the leaves. Then I used “FREE SPIRIT” to add glitter to the leaves
and “WATCH ME GO” to add glitter to the stalks.
My middle finder got a
base of “STAN TO ATTENTION” too, and over it I painted one coat of “BARE
IT ALL”.
My index finger got a tiny bit
of “WET
CEMENT” using the Saran Wrap method as my base. I used my smallest dotting
tool to make the pagoda roofs and a toothpick for the walls of my pagoda. Last I
added a moon shaped gem.
And finally my thumb got one coat of “FREE
SPIRIT” as a base and I used "HOT TAMALE”
and “TWINKLE” for the koi bodies. I used “PLATINUM”
for the scales and “LIQUID LEATHER” for the eyes.
I used a dotting tool to get the head shape, then a
toothpick to help shape the tail and upper fins.
Thank you for viewing!
This is amazing!!! I especially like the bamboo and the koi fish are too cute.
